The well-known Ipoh Kueh Teow (Sha Hor Fun ) has not only won acclaims in the country, but also has spread its name overseas. Besides local media that feature Sha Hor Fun from time to time, there are also foreign media being attracted by its fame visit the country and make in-depth reports on it, introducing Ipoh Sha Hor Fun to readers in other countries and making it an international famous noodle.

These foreign media included the well-known Hong Kong magazine on gastronomy “Yam Sit Nam Nooi” (literally means Food and Drinks for Men and Women) which carried a special feature on “Ipoh Kueh Teow & Noodles Sdn Bhd”, introducing Ipoh Sha Hor Fun to Hong Kong people.

TVB of Hong Kong also sent a film crew to Malaysia to film “Ipoh Kueh Teow” for their program called “Yat Yat Yau Sit San’ (literally means With Gourmet Everyday) hosted by the internationally famed gourmet Mr. Liang Wen Tao who is also commonly known as “Sit San” (the godlike gourment) and co-hosted by a TVB female artiste Miss Guan En Na, introducing Ipoh Kueh Teow to people beyond Malaysia.
